Lonnie,
No matter how hard it is, I can see him now playing with his brother... their ears flapping in the air as they are running side by side. It is tough, and your words are very comforting no matter what you say about them. Comfort is always just an illusion in these cases, however the care and words of comfort from a friend is what makes it tiny bit more bearable. So thank you Lonnie.

I know that the pain of his absence will never disappear, but I know it'll get better with time.

Claire,
I offer my heartfelt sympathy to you and your parents and family. I know what it’s like to lose family and I share in your heart ache.

Claire I know of the big heart that you have and our dogs take on our traits so I’m sure he was loving and gentle.

I wish I had words that could comfort you, I’m sorry I don’t.
