About A New Season

Everything started with the beginning of my correspondance with Swedish musician Jonas (whom I married eventually) and my music reviews... at least that is the short version... The first thing that I wrote (besides the reviews and earlier in my teens, some romantic short stories) was "Dark White Valley" (page 45). I unlocked the first door to my soul and I have not stopped growing ever since. Writing made me discover who I was and who I was supposed to be.

Ultimately, I had enough material to get published. I knew nothing of the hardship of being a writer... but as I talked often with my grand-father, I need to show him that the path I had chosen was not a dead end. The more I thought about it, the more urgent it felt to make it happen. Therefore, I self-published my work with French publishing house Publibook.

He became proud of me and, as I suspected, a little less worried about my choice of life. My grand-father passed away the following spring.

Then I wrote what felt like the logical sequel, so it became "volume 2" and I published it with a Canadian publisher... I edited the first book, and made it "volume 1", which I published with the same publisher (still self-publishing by the way).

Eventually, I chose to be the only one responsible for my work and I became my own publisher. I self-published both volumes under my name. Yet, since they were bilingual books (French & English), I thought my reader would be pleased with an edition in one language. So, I compiled all the French in one book, and all the English in another... I applied for ISBN numbers and finally published the last edition of "A New Season".
